Minimal to Maximum: Using TouchDesigner, I created a self-portrait by capturing my image through camera recognition, while emojis continuously transformed frame by frame in the process.
I’ve been exploring new aesthetics with AI, shifting away from perfection and embracing ambiguity and glitches, which, in their imperfection, may feel more human.

What if you could draw in midair with a simple pinch of your fingers? Through creative coding, I transformed space itself into my canvas.
I converted the plants in my home into point clouds and created an interaction where the points disperse in response to my hand gestures.
An interactive system that responds to finger touches and drags. Since touch is available on mobile devices, I developed it in a mobile environment, where the system reacts to the speed and direction of the finger drag.
Collaborated with @nerdconnection on their newly released album Losing Myself. Through frame-by-frame animation, I expressed the turmoil and inner struggles of the protagonist.
A short clip created using AnimateDiff, designed in a looping format. The sense of interpolation seems to shift depending on the content that is fed into it.
Eye Series: Through countless watching eyes peering out from gaps, I question whether every visual trace in our world is now open to observation and subject to learning. As the boundaries between truth and fabrication blur, I’ve been exploring new AI-driven aesthetics, moving away from polished perfection toward ambiguity and glitches, which in their very imperfection, seem to carry something more human.
A self-portrait generated by feeding in my own photo—reconstructed through the forms of tennis players, reflecting my love for the sport. After running multiple iterations, the results emerged somewhere between the uncanny and fine art. This work was also exhibited in Amsterdam, incorporating AR technology.

So happy to see my artwork covering the COEX SM Atrium!
I scanned my home with Scaniverse and converted it into a mesh, then used TouchDesigner to transform it into point clouds. I tested a system where the points disperse in response to hand gestures.

Where do all the countless figures generated by AI come from? Who are the ancestors of the human images we create? Who were our earliest forebears in the digital world?
My first book has been published, now available in bookstores nationwide. It’s a project that took about a year to complete, and I hope it helps more people use AI effectively in their everyday lives.
I was selected as the first artist in 36 years to create a cover for Korea’s most renowned lifestyle magazine using AI.
Participated as a juror and moderator for the AI Artist Awards. (Film Festival)

Experimenting with turning Apple emojis into realistic images using AI. Notice how the bun on top looks unusually thick? What once felt natural as a 2D emoji becomes strangely awkward when rendered in realism. I later expanded this into a series, and the results carried an uncanny, peculiar vibe.

If you half-close your eyes, you’ll see Marilyn Monroe! I lowered the noise value to preserve a faint silhouette, while the prompt included keywords related to tennis players. I personally have a deep admiration for her works.
